Personalize your comments with Avatars!
Awesome new addition to cfcyouth-ffl.com:
Now, comments are made cooler with avatars!
The definition of an Avatar in the computer world is “a computer user’s representation of himself or herself, in the form of a picture icon.” Basically, it’s a photo thumbnail that will go along with your comments so we can see who you are!
Awesome. Now that that’s out of the way, here’s how you do it:
- Locate the upload box in the lower middle part of the website.
- Simply enter your email address, and upload a photo of your choice from your computer.
- Make sure it’s not a huge file, anyway thumbnails will only appear at max 60X60 pixels.
- That’s it! Now, everytime you make a comment on cfcyouth-ffl.com using that same email address, your photo thumbnail will appear in your comment!
FAQ’s
Q. I already made comments before today. Will my new avatar show up on them?
A. Yes. Your avatar will show up on all comments placed on the site, new and old, that share that same email address.
Q. Any tips on making a good Avatar?
A. Resizing and cropping your photo before uploading is a good idea. This isn’t necessary but is recommended since Avatars can only appear at max 60X60 pixels. Here are some samples of 60X60 pixel sized avatars:

Q. Can I change my avatar?
A. Yes. At anytime you want to change your avatar, simply upload another photo using the same email address and your new photo will overwrite the old one.
Q. How do I know if my avatar was uploaded or not?
A. After your upload is complete, you should receive a message saying, “Thank you for uploading your avatar.” in place of the upload box. An easy way of checking if it was uploaded is to see if your photo appears below your name when you leave a comment. If it doesn’t, it probably didn’t upload correctly. Again, make sure your file isn’t too big. Though there is no limit on size, it’s always better not to have it too big.
